You can never learn enough about quilting...

Wow! Today I took a really fun 4 hour class and made a Diamond in the Rough block. The time went by before we new it. The class was offered at Forget Me Knot quilt shoppe, in Louisville , Kentucky. It's a great shop, well lit, with rainbows of color and muddy to brightly designed quilt tops made to excite your already sated obsession, of which we can never seem to get enough.

Cool block--is the pictured quilt yours or the class sample? Lots of movement from the color placement. Very fun.

What wonderful quilts you make! I am getting twitchy fingers now, I haven't patchworked for years. We don't have nice specialist shops for quilting over here in the UK, its not really a big part of our heritage but I wish we did!
(BTW - I see we also have Neil Young and Madeline Peyroux in common...what a voice!)

This is where you can find the pattern, if anyone is interested. Never met the woman, but, she writes one of the clearest/easiest to read patterns I've seen as a quilter.

Love that block! Debbie designs great quilts I think. I like the fabrics in your block very much. Also, your quilt album is really neat!
