The sun showed itself like an opal's fire today. Glory bee...quilting bee that is.
What an oldfashioned term to embody all that is good about quilting...in my personal opinion. One of the last tribal things for women to do. Whether it's to work on one quilt together, or just get together to admire and encourage each other's artistic ability.
Make no mistake, to quilt is to make art and if you put a label on your quilt, you can make history...smile

Quilting is so wonderful. It's great to have a piece of art in your home that you can cuddle with :)
If you're struggling with that camouflage fabric combination look at an earlier January post on my blog entitled 'Half way there' - it shows a baby quilt I made in the un-baby colours of burgundy, black and white (the rugby club colours) and despite the unpromising colour combination it turned out ok
