National Quilter's Day Out

It's almost March and most of you quilters know what that means...Quilter's Day Out. Our celebration of quilting will be on Saturday March 15th at the Ballardsville Baptist Church from 10:00 to 3:00.

Once again we will have a nationally known speaker, Karen Witt, who will be giving an informative and entertaining lecture on quilting. Prior to the event, Karen will be offering classes on Friday so sign up early because space is limited. For more information about classes contact Marilou at: marilou1037@insightbb.com

Also included in the event will be a quilt challenge entitled: "Springtime in Kentucky".
Northeast Quilting Friends will be hosting The Challenge which is being judged by you the viewer. Viewer's choice judging will also have you entered to win a bag of goodies, just for being a participant in the judging. All entry forms for the quilt challenge must be in on or before 3/3/08, with completed quilts due for hanging on 3/13/08. For more information about the challenge contact Julie at Julieb380@insightbb.com.

Those are only 2 of the activities for the day. We will be having door prizes which include 12 sewing machines with one being a grand prize, which is a very nice computerized machine, sewing machine tables, fabric and books and many more items for you to win will be offered as well.

All it takes for you to enjoy the day is a $2.00 entry fee and one canned good for our local food pantry. This entitles you to spend the day with most of the quilt guilds in our area and check out what it means to live your life with passion for something and all us quilters know just what that means!

If you are interested in quilting this is a must attend event for you!
