We went to the Salato Wildlife Center in Frankfort.
That was a really nice walking trail to look at animals that couldn't be returned to the wild for one reason or another.
It's free and expect to dodge a lot of kids, but, it was still a nice walk/rome through exhibits of snakes and turtles and beautiful flowers in natural settings.
The Buffalo Trace Distillery is in Frankfort and it also has a free tour that has a nice video that tells of the history of Kentucky horse breeding and the Bourbon industry.
While not in the hospital, I have had time to
make a tote bag.
It's the Empress pattern from Robyn Pandolphi.

This is Chelsea and I at the hospital.

I LOVE the Salato Wildlife Center! It is one of my favorite places to visit. Living in Harrodsburg, I'm only 45 minutes away, so I get to visit during all seasons. Great post!
Seems like a great day out and you're right, Pokey LaFarge sounds interesting. Him I want to know more about...
